STOLLE: bye bye 4-track

 

This is a new single by Stolle, celebrating my good old 4-track-taperecorder which is supposed to retire now, for I finally managed to get my first digital multitracker. I'm not quite sure yet if this will be an improvement, because I really loved recording tapes, the feel and sound of it - I guess I'm an analogue guy.

Side A is called bye bye 4-track and also features my new korg pocket synthesizer.

Side B, Down, comes from the first session of Ralf und Stolle, a new project. Ralf is an old friend from my hometown who started making music recently and played the breathtaking beautiful organ on this one.

MIRG: Ghost-Track

Dear listeners,
today we are continuing with a new track from our most beloved project MIRG. This hour-long multitrackrecording is the result of a concept which aimed to feature the chapel of the Reuschberg Academy prominently. It was almost 20 years ago when Lay De Fear made their first sessions in this very place, we did not play there for several years and were really stunned by the outstanding sound of this room, as well a the spiritual vibes it has, so we did a great bulk of the sessions at this place, more recordings are to come soon.

AMERICAN SON, by Stolle

This is a solo recording by Stolle, done live as a tribute to Lou Reed. Marcus and Member were gone shopping, looking for terrible things no one could possibly eat, ever, so I took the opportunity and recorded this thing.
After doing a basic drone on my Toy-Keyboard I established a groove with the Korg Monotribe, then messed around with the oscillators, went on to do two vocal loops and finally did a guitar freakout, trying to play like Lou did in his heyday.

We just came back from an 8-day-stay at the Reuschberg Academy, the place where it all began. We did 3 workshops in a row and recorded 46 pieces of music there, so there is some stuff you can look forward to. We'll start posting music as soon as we can,

Our own multitrack recording didn't work this evening and our stereomic recording sounded like a 70's Can Bootleg. Our friend Jürgen made this recording with his Zoom H2 with external mics and he did a good job.
This 2 1/2 hours good and free energy.

The Whole - Drown The Soul In Noise 2012

Hi Freaks,

last weekend we reunited with Christian, the World's Best Drummer, to jam for two days as our Rock-Outfit THE WHOLE. It was so freaking good that we hope to get together more often in the future. At least one big gig is in the planning stages, but it's too early to talk about it yet.

What you are getting here are two pieces, the first Peter's Mind, being Stolle's Tribute to the World's Second Best Guitarist, Peter Green.

Drown The Soul In Noise was our first session right after breakfast, another band was rehearsing Soul classics in the room next to us, and we felt the urge to answer that right away.

Egomania - Guten Morgen - Gute Nacht 2004

 

Welcome to the next chapter of historic emptyblaukraut recordings.This is an Egomania Record from 2004. In May 2004 Member recorded, over a period of just a week or so, every morning a good morning piece of music, with the exception of the first and the last track, that was a good night session, that started the whole thing.
At first Member created very slow patterns (23 - 80 bpm) pattern with "fruity loops" and after this he made one Live version of the pattern just adding the playing of his analog synths and a microphone hanging out of the window to add the urban sound of the moment.
After this he send the Recordings to Stolle, who edited, compiled the tracks and made a P.T.E. of the Recordings.
In 2011 Member found a new musical project called Cyberchill 3000, an electronic Chill Out Duo with Conni Maly / Lava 303. The first Live act of  Cyberchill 3000 at the "Kannibalen Massaker Festival" based on the fruity loops patterns created for this Recording. You will find the Cyberchill 3000 Live Recording here.
